Corrosion Control (Oxygen Scavenger)
Corrosion causes severe damage to the equipment and reduces equipment life and expectancy. If left untreated, the dissolved oxygen in water will corrode the boiler water systems and reduce its
efficiency and expectancy.
Preventing corrosion in the boiler water system is through the removal of oxygen while maintaining the appropriate pH off the boiler water system.
Scaling
Scaling causes reduction in the heat transfer efficiency, localized overheating, and in more severe case, boiler tube rupture. Scaling is caused by the accumulation of scale-forming minerals, like hardness and silica ions in the boiler water.
Preventing scaling in the boiler water system is through the removal of the scale-forming minerals and appropriate control of the scaling inhibition programme in the boiler water system.
